POSSE AUCTION

2026 POSSE AUCTION RAISES RECORD AMOUNT!

Raising more than $400,000 for the Excellence Fund through live and silent bidding, ticket sales, and table sponsorships, the 2026 POSSE Auction was a night to remember — in more ways than one. The grand total marks the highest amount ever raised at Oklahoma State Athletics' largest annual fundraising event.

More than 450 attendees filled Gallagher-Iba Arena on Saturday, April 25, for an entertaining and impactful evening featuring Cowboy and Cowgirl coaches, staff, student-athletes, and loyal OSU supporters.

The POSSE welcomed back the "First Family of Wrestling" — Lee Roy, John, Pat, and Mark Smith — as guests of honor. The Smith brothers joined emcee Larry Reece on stage to share stories of their journeys to OSU, their outstanding wrestling accomplishments, family, and faith — including a lively debate over who was the toughest sibling.

Athletic Director Chad Weiberg took the opportunity to make a surprise announcement: OSU's new wrestling training facility will bear the name of six-time world champion, two-time Olympic gold medalist, two-time NCAA individual champion, and five-time NCAA champion coach John Smith. Learn more about this historic announcement.

Lee Roy Smith, recently retired executive director of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, was presented with a bronze statue of Frank Eaton in honor of his decades of service to the sport and his alma mater.

ELITE COMPANY

The selection process begins with a screening committee of OSU Athletics coaches and staff members that narrow the list of eligible candidates to approximately 50. That list is taken to a selection committee of people affiliated with but not employed by OSU Athletics. The selection committee then votes for the final honorees.
