It is truly an exciting time to be a Cowboy! Current and upcoming campus construction (including the Athletic Village and a number of other university facility projects) has created a number of challenges when it comes to providing the best possible gameday parking for our donors. As we continue this unprecedented growth, changes to our POSSE parking areas are inevitable. We appreciate your patience as we continue to adjust the POSSE gameday parking footprint in response to these factors.
NOTE: POSSE PARKING IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE DUE TO A NUMBER OF FACTORS, INCLUDING CAMPUS CONSTRUCTION, LOT AVAILABILITY AND DONOR DEMAND. IF CHANGES TO THE MAP ARE NECESSARY, AN UPDATED MAP WILL BE POSTED ONLINE AS SOON AS IT BECOMES AVAILABLE.
POSSE parking for 2012-13 is based on annual giving to OSU Athletics from July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012.
In order to receive the benefit of parking for football, men's basketball, women's basketball and wrestling, members of the POSSE must qualify based upon the following criteria:
• Be a donor of at least the minimum amount to qualify (based upon sport)
• Be a season ticket holder of that particular sport (football receives football parking, etc.)
• Parking spaces available for the donor level in which you qualify upon disbursement
Along with availability, several factors dictate the location of POSSE parking. One factor is the opportunity of lots for rent from OSU Parking and Transit. The POSSE rents each space from the university on a game-by-game basis. Once the number of spaces is known, the POSSE tabulates the number of donors within each donor level and assigns each parking lot accordingly from the top down, beginning with the lots closest to the stadium and working outward. Parking lots are maximized to use every space and ensure that qualifying donors have ample parking alternatives on gameday. Another factor affecting POSSE parking is the ongoing Athletic Village and other campus construction projects. The POSSE works with university and construction officials to secure the maximum amount of parking possible on gameday, as construction permits.
GAMEDAY PARKING PROCEDURES
For Football, donors at the Cowboy VIP and Trailblazer level, along with Suiteholders, will have reserved (numbered) parking spaces. Maverick Level donors will receive reserved parking in a specific lot without a numbered space. All Pistol Pete, Golden Spur, Silver Star and Club Level donors will have parking in one of the corresponding lots (see map) on a first-come, first-serve basis. Club Seat patrons will park based on their annual donation.
Qualifying donors will be issued a book of parking passes, with a different permit for each of OSU's home games. The proper permit must be presented to the parking lot attendant for inspection and stub removal before entering. Permit must be visible while parked in designated lot. Failure to display proper permit or unauthorized parking on gameday may result in the vehicle being towed or relocated at the owner's expense.
No re-entry is allowed in lots once stub has been removed. No drop-offs will be allowed in any POSSE lots.
POSSE football parking lots open at 8 am for games kicking off prior to 4 pm and open at noon for games kicking off after 4 pm. NOTE: Due to Homecoming festivities, POSSE lots will open at 7 am on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012.
Please do not save parking spaces for tailgate partners. Please do not set up tables, chairs or cookers in parking spaces next to you. For safety purposes, tailgating items cannot block driving lanes. No outside vendors unless approved by the POSSE office and/or Cowboy Sports Properties. For more information about tailgating, click here or contact the POSSE office.
If lost or stolen, replacement parking passes can be obtained by calling the POSSE office. Replacement passes take precedence over original passes, which will be voided. A $150 replacement fee will be charged for each replacement book, which must be received at time of request.
Additional parking passes are limited but available to those who qualify with a minimum of seven (7) season tickets in that particular sport (7 football season tickets, 7 basketball season tickets, etc.). ALL requests must be made by July 1 prior to the start of football season. Requests are not guaranteed. All requests are considered, but will be granted based on POSSE Priority Points and availability of parking (additional passes MAY NOT be in the same lot as primary pass).
PUBLIC HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE PARKING
There will be several ADA/Mobility parking areas on football gamedays. ADA/Mobility parking is provided on a first-come, first-serve basis, excluding the first rows of the south side (Lot #6) and west side (Lot #10) of Boone Pickens Stadium. To qualify, vehicle must display a valid state handicap placard, and permit-holder must be present in vehicle upon entry. Overflow ADA/Mobility parking is located in the OSU parking garage on Monroe. A shuttle service from the Parking & Transit Depot will assist in transport to the stadium beginning three hours prior to kickoff. See ADA Parking Map.
Recreational vehicles are not permitted in POSSE parking lots, except for the following:
Lot #74 (located at Hall of Fame and Walnut) is a Reserved RV parking lot, administered by OSU POSSE and the "State Rangers" RV club. For more information, visit OKStateRV.com or contact the POSSE office.
Due to limited availability of parking on campus, general public RV parking is no longer available on university grounds. For nearby RV parks, please go to visitstillwater.org.
Overflow parking will be located in Lots #81 and #72, until capacity is reached (determined by OSU gameday staff). Lot #81 (at the corner of Hall of Fame and McDonald), will be unavailable for the Sept. 15 game due to a previous University commitment. Except for State Ranger RV lot, this is the only campus lot where oversized vehicles will be allowed. Lot #72 (on south side of Hall of Fame) is available for standard vehicles only. Overflow lots will open at the same time as all other POSSE lots. To enter, POSSE Gameday Parking Pass must be presented to attendants. There is no re-entry.
GENERAL (NON-DONOR) PARKING
All lots not included in the controlled POSSE areas or otherwise controlled under the authorization of the OSUPD shall be open for general parking unless otherwise controlled or restricted by OSU Parking Services.
Downtown Stillwater offers free public parking and shopping opportunities for Cowboy Fans, along with a complimentary stadium shuttle. Courtesy shuttle service from downtown (7th and Lewis) to the stadium (Hall of Fame and Knoblock) begins 3 hours prior to kickoff and continues throughout post-game, with pick-up/drop-off approx. every 15 minutes.
If you have a question about POSSE parking, please contact the POSSE office at 405-744-7301 or toll-free 877-2B-POSSE. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
